On this entry I want to share with you my project for #DS4A. program The project attacks a common data problem faced by an important entity in Colombia, Bogota Archive. I hope this helps you understand how a common entity/company deals with data related problems and what kind of approach they might have with data science.
It is a dependency of the General Secretariat of the Capital District of Bogota. Its mission is to protect the city's documentary resources in order to ensure transparency, accessibility, processing and preservation of information of interest to the government and the study of citizens. In this sense, the Archive of Bogota organizes funds and collections with heritage value, and disseminates the memory contained in the documentary heritage for the benefit of the entities of the city administration, researchers and scholars and anyone else interested in learning about the history of Bogotá.
